Removal of fuel subsidy is a good idea but the implementation is faulty.
Before the removal of feul subsidy the following factors need to be in place:
- Good Refinery
- effective and efficient PHCN
- Good Health Care System
- Good Education System

Healthcare delivery in Nigeria would improve as funds harnessed from the removal of the subsidy would be used to boost the country’s health facilities and infrastructure.

Maternal and child mortality are high in the country. This i think can be achieved with the gains from the removal of fuel subsidy,if properly managed.

@Toyin, indeed I appreciate your comment but can you recall that subsidy that was removed from aviation fuel and diesel was never used for anything. What if the Government is deceiving us? Do you really have confidence in Nigerian politicians? Hmnnnn, I leave you with the puzzle.....

@ Lawrence With reference to my comment earlier, If the funds are properly managed then they can be channeled to the right Projects.

With all that has been going on this past week in the Country,I think the Government should be more transparent and earn the Peoples (Our) trust before the implementation of the Fuel subsidy policy. This can be done by putting necessary facilities in place just as Mrs Oke noted previously.
